ABOUT ME
I'm Megan, a 26-year old photographer currently living in Massachusetts. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Women's Studies at the University of Central Florida. I am currently in graduate school studying expressive arts therapy and mental health counseling.
I've worked across a variety of different photographic fields and my professional work includes commissioned portraits for graduations and special occasions, rescue animal photography, and photojournalism. I have been featured in four exhibitions in Orlando, Florida, including Snap! Orlando's student exhibition and the UCF Healing Art Exhibition. Since I have moved to Sarasota, I worked to curate and also display my photographs in an annual Expressive Arts Exhibition for the New College of Florida. I have also exhibited in the "Come Out St. Pete" art show, the "Here & Queer" exhibition at Black Crow Coffee, and I directed a LGBTQ+ Womens Artist Exhibition in St. Petesburg FL at Metro Inclusive Health where over 20 artists joined together to share their artwork.
My personal work explores human connection, intimacy, struggling with intense and distressing emotions, and my own mental health. This is done through the mediums of self portrait, 35mm film photography, and capturing my close interpersonal relationships.
